After spending a few days in Legian, I decided to head 2.5 hours north up the coast to a small beach called Medewi. This area is beautiful and peaceful, a pleasant change to Legian and Kuta which is the hub of all things touristy. I spent 3 glorious nights relaxing at an eco resort called Puri Dajuma. My days consisted of lying back in the hammock reading (trashy romance novels ;), taking a dip in the pool and watching the beautiful sunset. November is low season and there where only a handful of people staying at the hotel. One of which were a very welcoming Australian family who befriended the entire hotel and really made the stay much more inviting. I’m not one to sit still for too long so after a little research I found a fun off the beaten path experience where I stayed with Balinese family and partook in a more traditional Balinese experience.
